Şevkefza Sultan (Poti, 12 December 1820 - Çırağan Palace, Ortaköy, Istanbul, 17 September 1889), originally named Vilma, was the Mingrelian wife of Ottoman Sultan Abdülmecid I and Valide Sultan to their son Murad V.[1]
Her son appointed her reported chief ally, Damat Nuri Pasha, as Lord Pasha, after which Sevkefsa and Damat was to have confiscated all the gold coins and jewellery hidden away by Abdül Aziz and his mother, the former Valide, Pertevniyal in the harem of Dolmabahçe Palace.
